Free tools / AI Readiness Checker
Can AI assistants read your website?
When someone asks ChatGPT or Claude about your business, the answer comes from what those assistants can read on your site. This checks whether they can read it at all — and tells you exactly what to fix.
Free, no signup. We read your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt — nothing else, and nothing is stored.
What this checks
Whether AI crawlers are blocked. Your robots.txt is read and each of GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended is checked against its rules. Plenty of sites block these without knowing — often a plugin default, or a line copied from another site.
Whether your content survives without JavaScript. Most AI crawlers do not run scripts. If your pages are assembled in the browser, they arrive as an empty shell — the single most common reason a site is invisible to assistants despite ranking fine on Google.
What you publish about yourself. Title, description, headings, structured data, FAQ markup, sitemap and llms.txt. These are the facts an assistant can lift verbatim instead of guessing.
Nothing is stored and no account is needed. We fetch your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt, exactly as any crawler would.
Common questions
Does a low score mean my SEO is bad?
No — they are different things. A site can rank well on Google and still be unreadable to assistants, usually because Google renders JavaScript and most AI crawlers do not.
Should I let AI crawlers read my site?
That is a real choice, not a given. Blocking them keeps your content out of model training and out of AI answers — including the answers your potential customers are asking for. Most businesses want to be found; some publishers deliberately do not. We report what your rules say and leave the decision to you.
What is llms.txt?
An emerging convention: a markdown file at your site root pointing assistants at your important pages. It is not a ratified standard and not every assistant reads it yet, but it costs nothing to publish. Generate one free →
